Hello, my name is Courtney...

I am an addict. A 40 something mother, friend, daughter who is obsessed with books. Yep, that's me. I can't read enough to quench my addiction. 

It all started with Oprah. Oprah and her book club. She's Come Undone, White Oleander, East of Eden...I could go on and on. I eventually lost my way with books and couldn't find much to keep me interested.  It wasn't until around 2006 that I broke up with Oprah and started a new relationship with Edward.  Yes, Twilight is what got me addicted again.  

After Edward, I decided I needed to enable others out there like me, so I started a book blog.  I loved every minute of it. Sharing my drug with people.  Man, I was hooked. I read in the pick up line at school, while I was cooking, in the morning and at night... Basically, I read as often as I could, whenever I could.  

Life eventually got in the way but deep down I always remembered this old blog and the thrill of a good read.  Then one night, as I was drowning for hours in another Netflix reality series, I realized, Courtney... is this how you want to waste away? Your butt permanently imprinted on this Craig's List couch, wine in hand, getting lost in other people's drama via the old TV?   The answer is NO my fellow addicts.  No, I do not. I would much rather get lost in people's drama, wine in hand, via a good ole' book.   So fellow addicts, I'm back and have no plans of getting clean!
